Devotional : FAITH: A KEY TO GODS RIGHTEOUSNESS (Romans 3)

Romans 3:21-22 KJV

[21] But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; [22] even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:




Just as we said yesterday that the righteous judgement of God is upon everyone both the believers and unbelievers..

Today, Romans 3 makes us understand that no one is righteous because we are under the influence of sin but our God remains faithful forever;for our God is a righteous God and does not tell lies. 

He is a righteous God who judges us of our iniquity, the sinful nature in us causes us to fall back in sin and we are not made right by knowing the law or by the works of the law. 


IS KNOWING THE LAW WRONG? Definitely NO! This is the because the knowledge of the law makes us conscious of our sin. It shows us how sinful we are, but it doesn't make us right with God.

Psalm 119:105 says his word is lamp to guide our feet and a light to our path (NLT)



WHAT BRINGS ABOUT OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS? 

What brings God's righteousness to us?

The bible says "This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe" (Rom 3:22 NIV)

We are made right by putting our FAITH in JESUS CHRIST, the author and finisher of our faith. The bible also affirms that it is for everyone no matter who we are. We are saved by our believe in Jesus christ. 

We've sinned and come short of the glory of God but we are no longer sinner because in his grace, he made us right in his sight through Jesus Christ. When you fall back to your sin is what makes you a sinner but his righteousness is always available to right your wrong by believing in the name of JESUS CHRIST 

We can decide to obey the law, but in as much as we do not believe in Jesus Christ, we remain unrighteous. Remember your faith in God makes you right with him. Your faith makes you stronger with christ


 *Declaration*

Because I believe in christ, sin has no hold on me 

I'm not a sinner, because I've been made righteous through my faith in Jesus Christ 


 *Prayer* 

Lord, thank you for your salvation, for freeing me from sin and making me righteous 

Help me always uphold your word that they direct me and lead me to the right path

Strengthen my faith and help me not to go back to my sinful nature 


Amen
